The Challenge

Kennards Hire, a large Australian retailer with over 150 branches and almost 1,000 employees Australia-wide had increased their volumes of data by over 50% in the past 5 years. The retailer struggled with reporting and was unable to draw even the most basic insights from their data. In the past, managers had relied on guesswork and their gut feeling to make critical business decisions, with business data simply unavailable.

To create simple, static monthly reports it took IT professionals between a few hours for ad-hoc reports up to several days for monthly reports.

Management recognised the need for a complete Business Intelligence (BI) solution to meet their needs and complement their existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The Solution
