Background

BresicWhitney is a real estate agency who focuses on high-end sales and property management across Sydney. They are known for both their expertise and contemporary approach to residential properties, combining innovative marketing strategies with a deep understanding of the local market.

The Challenge

Operating as a high-end real estate agency, BresicWhitney faced several business-critical challenges tied to the absence of a unified data strategy:

Inconsistent Customer Experience

Without centralised data, agents lacked a 360-degree view of the customer journey, from initial inquiry through to sale or lease. This fragmentation made it difficult to provide a consistent, personalised experience across the client lifecycle. Agents often operated in silos, unable to quickly access or share critical information on customer preferences, property history, or transaction details. This affected their ability to build strong relationships and deliver tailored services, which are vital in a competitive luxury market.

Inefficient Operations

Managers and agents were forced to work with outdated or incomplete data, often relying on manual processes like spreadsheets to reconcile information from different systems. This not only slowed decision-making but also led to inefficiencies such as double handling of data and increased time spent on administrative tasks. As a result, agents spent more time on paperwork than engaging with clients or focusing on sales.

Lack of Real-Time Insights

Without a centralised platform, both agents and managers struggled to access real-time insights into key performance indicators like property sales, customer behaviours, and market trends. This lack of visibility made it difficult for managers to set effective strategies and optimise operations. Agents, too, were left reacting to data rather than proactively using it to guide client conversations and marketing tactics.

Missed Opportunities

The inability to capture, integrate, and analyse data from various touchpoints resulted in missed opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling. High-net-worth clients expect personalised recommendations based on their preferences and behaviour, but without integrated customer data, agents were unable to deliver this level of service consistently.

Slower Decision-Making

Fragmented data systems meant that it took longer for managers and executives to compile reports, make informed decisions, and pivot in response to market changes. For an agency dealing in high-value transactions, this delay in decision-making could lead to missed deals, reduced customer satisfaction, and lower profitability.

The absence of a comprehensive, data-driven approach also impacted customer trust. Inaccurate or incomplete data handling diminished the agency’s ability to offer a smooth, professional experience and maintain a competitive edge in the high-end property sales industry.

The Solution

Antares approached the BresicWhitney challenge by conducting a comprehensive data discovery engagement with key stakeholders. This phase was crucial to understanding the business cases and formulating a strategy for leveraging data to enhance overall business performance. Based on the insights gained, Antares proposed a tailored solution centred around the Microsoft Power Platform.

The solution was built as a model-driven app on the Power Platform – a low-code solution designed to automate the user interface, business logic, and data model based on a predefined schema. This model-driven app was configured to follow a structured workflow that effectively captured the property sales process from lead generation to settlement, and incorporated different roles and permissions, ensuring that various user groups could interact with the system according to their specific needs.

In addition to the Power Platform solution, Antares implemented a robust data management platform built on Microsoft Fabric. This platform was designed to serve as a centralised repository for all data related to property sales, customer interactions, and operational metrics. The solution included automated data ingestion and validation processes, ensuring that all historical and newly captured sales data was consistent and accurate.

Power BI Dashboards were connected to the centralised data platform, providing dynamic reporting capabilities across the organisation. Custom reports were built to give agents and managers visibility into sales performance and key highlights to executives. This centralised approach allowed BresicWhitney to transition from manual reporting processes to real-time, automated insights, empowering teams to act on data faster and more accurately.

Antares proposed a phased approach to deliver a modern data platform with advanced reporting capabilities. The first phase involved the design and setup of the Modern Data Platform in Azure, initially focusing on Finance data. Subsequent phases would address the ingestion, transformation, and reporting of data from other key areas such as Property Management and Sales. This iterative approach ensured that each phase of the project was refined to meet BresicWhitney’s specific needs, providing incremental value with each step.

As the project progressed, Antares planned to review and merge dimensional models across all systems, unlocking deeper insights and enabling comprehensive analysis. The result would be a fully functional and dynamic Modern Data Platform, empowering BresicWhitney to make data-driven decisions across multiple domains, improving efficiency and maintaining a competitive edge in the real estate industry.

The Result

The implementation of the model-driven app brought substantial business value to BresicWhitney, improving their operational efficiency, and boosting their competitive edge in the property market. By using a low-code platform, they streamlined app development, making it faster and more accessible to business users, while reducing the need for heavy IT involvement or costly off-the-shelf software that didn’t fully meet their unique needs. This approach not only sped up the implementation but also gave the company more control over their digital transformation.

The app improved data quality and consistency across the organisation by automating processes and integrating data sources into one platform. This reduced manual handling and errors, leading to more accurate data and better reporting. BresicWhitney gained deeper insights into their property data, allowing for more informed decisions. The customisation options of the model-driven app also let BresicWhitney tailor the solution to their needs, aligning with their business processes and helping them stand out from competitors with a cutting-edge tool for uncovering new opportunities.

Overall, the modern data platform created by Antares became a critical asset, equipping the company with the tools needed to drive success and maintain a strong market position.
